We are the Eta Omega Chapter of the official honorary society of American two-year colleges. Phi Theta Kappa members embody leadership, academic excellence and high ideals. To be offered membership is a special honor.
    You will soon discover (if you haven't already) that Eta Omega has a different atmosphere from most other organizations. This chapter has a special closeness and feeling of family and it is this unity that makes us successful. Not every Phi Theta Kappa chapter has this atmosphere. As a result, Eta Omega has built a reputation of being one of the most successful, closest-knit and friendliest chapters in the nation. We want you to be a part of this.
    That brings us to the one thing that can make or break our chapter – involvement. If you personally get involved with Phi Theta Kappa, you can make this a year that Eta Omega will remember with pride. We may even follow in the footsteps of the 1988-89 and the 2004-05 chapter in achieving Most Distinguished Chapter in the World.
    You could join without ever going to a meeting and Phi Theta Kappa would be just another organization to list on your résumé, but you would miss out on so many opportunities; to make lifetime friends and stockpile memories, to help other people in many ways, to meet and study with others who share your commitment to excellence and to make a difference on campus.
